A fill-in-the-blanks brief that gets your whole team aligned before a single pixel is drawn. Used on every built.lt project.
Most project pain starts before the design does
The expensive disagreements on a website project are rarely about pixels. They are about goals that were never written down, so two people quietly pursued two different versions of success for a month.
A one-page brief forces those goals into the open while they are still cheap to change. It is a small ritual that pays for itself the first time it catches a mismatch.
One page on purpose
The brief is deliberately short because length invites hedging, and hedging is how alignment quietly slips away. If a goal does not fit on the page, it is usually two goals pretending to be one.
We use this exact template on every built.lt project. The constraint is the feature: it forces the hard conversation early, when it is still a conversation and not a change request.
Alignment is a document, not a meeting
A meeting where everyone nods is not alignment. Alignment is a written artefact the team can return to when memories diverge, which they always do around week three.
Once the brief is signed off, it becomes the reference everyone argues against instead of arguing past each other. That is the whole point.
